Now let us tell you about the role:

As a Fabricator/Welder at Panda Waste, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and functionality of waste management equipment. Your primary responsibility will be to fabricate and weld components, contributing to the maintenance and repair of machinery used in waste collection and processing.

Key Accountabilities:

Fabrication and Welding: Perform skilled fabrication and welding tasks to repair and maintain waste management equipment, including compactors, containers, and vehicles.
Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality and structural integrity of fabricated components, adhering to industry standards and safety regulations.
Repair and Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections, diagnose issues, and carry out repairs to ensure the continuous and safe operation of waste management equipment.
Collaboration: Work closely with the maintenance team to troubleshoot and address mechanical issues promptly, minimizing downtime.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, promoting a culture of safety within the workshop environment.
Areas of Responsibility:
Fabrication Workshop: Operate within the fabrication workshop, utilizing tools and equipment for cutting, welding, and shaping metal components.
Equipment Maintenance: Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure timely and effective repairs, contributing to the overall efficiency of waste management operations.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including completed tasks, materials used, and any additional information relevant to equipment maintenance.

Experience and Skills:

Qualifications: Relevant qualifications or apprenticeship in fabrication/welding.
Experience: Proven experience as a fabricator/welder, preferably in a similar industrial or waste management setting.
Technical Skills: Proficient in various welding techniques, cutting, and shaping of metals.
Safety Awareness: Strong commitment to workplace safety, understanding and implementing safety protocols.
Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively within a maintenance team, communicating effectively to achieve common goals.
