About the Role

Job Role

  • Monitor and control Biomass power plant operations, including furnace combustion performance, cems data, and electrical generation output.

  • Carry out routine inspections, planned maintenance, and first-line repairs on plant equipment.

  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical or electrical faults promptly to minimise downtime.

  • Maintain accurate operational records, including production data, maintenance logs, and safety documentation.

  • Ensure full compliance with safety procedures, environmental regulations, and operational standards.

  • Support continuous improvement projects and plant optimisation initiatives.

  • Work collaboratively with the plant team to maintain safe and reliable operations.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience in Biomass power generation, boilers, turbines, industrial plant, Experience in Ro water treatment plants.

  • Strong understanding of thermodynamics, combustion, and electrical systems.

  • Hands-on experience with mechanical plant, conveyors, heat exchangers.

  • Ability to interpret digital readouts, SCADA screens, and performance charts.

  • Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Recognised mechanical or electrical based qualifications.

  • Ability to work independently and within a small team.

  • Commitment to safety, compliance, and high operational standards.
