Workday Performance, Data & Reporting Analyst
Location: Leeds or Dublin
Turn Workday data into real business decisions
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Workday Performance, Data & Reporting Analyst to ensure our Workday platform runs at its best — delivering high-quality data, fast performance, and insights the business can actually use.
Reporting to the Head of In Life Change for Finance, Supplier and Colleague Journeys, this role sits at the centre of how we monitor system performance, improve data quality, and turn information into action.
You’ll act as a subject matter expert across Workday’s reporting architecture, data model, and system behaviour, helping teams across Finance, HR, and Operations make better, faster decisions.
What you’ll be doing (and why it matters)
This role is about more than reporting — it’s about making Workday faster, smarter, and more valuable to the business.
Keep Workday performing at its best
- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimise reports, calculations, and processes so everything runs smoothly — especially at critical periods like month-end.
Build reporting that actually gets used
- Create dashboards, reports, and analytics that are clear, accurate, and genuinely useful not just data for data’s sake.
Own data quality and integrity
- Ensure the data behind the system is clean, reliable, and fit for purpose — identifying issues at source and driving fixes with the business.
Turn data into insight
- Support leaders across Finance, HR, Payroll, and Procurement by translating complex data into clear, actionable recommendations.
Enable self-service analytics
- Help teams access and use data themselves through well-designed reports, documentation, and training.
Continuously improve performance and reporting
- Use Workday releases, feedback, and analytics to refine how the system operates and evolves.
What makes this role different
- You’re not just building reports — you’re improving how the business makes decisions
- You’ll own both performance and data quality, not just outputs
- You’ll influence how Workday is used across multiple functions
- You’ll play a key role in making Workday a high-performing, insight-driven platform
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who combines technical capability with commercial thinking.
You’ll likely bring:
- Strong hands-on experience building Workday reports and calculated fields
- A solid understanding of Workday Finance data models
- A background as a qualified accountant with strong analytical capability
- Experience identifying and resolving system performance issues
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets
- The ability to communicate insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders
Bonus points if you have exposure to Power BI, SQL, Workday HR data, or have worked in complex operational environments.
What success looks like
Reports run faster and deliver clearer insight
Data quality improves across Finance and HR
Teams rely on self-service analytics instead of manual reporting
Leaders make better decisions based on accurate, timely data
Workday continues to evolve and improve with the business
Why join us
We’re building a more data-driven, efficient, and scalable organisation, with Workday at the core.
This role gives you the opportunity to own how data is used across the business, influence decision-making, and make a visible impact at scale.
