Weighbridge Operator

About Us

We are part of the Panda Recycling Group and a leading waste management company providing integrated collection and recycling services to a wide range of businesses and local authorities.

We are seeking to hire a Weighbridge Operator (30 hours per week) for our Widnes site, this is a key role in the coordination of both incoming and outgoing waste for the site, you will work with a range of internal staff and external 3^rd parties recording accurate information and entering into the appropriate system(s).

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating our Weighbridge using AMCS (training can and will be provided for this)
• Ensuring vehicle details and weights are entered accurately
• Communicate effectively with the Yard Operations team using 2-way radio
• Ensure full compliance on incoming and outgoing waste transfer notes
• Checking waste carriers licences using the national register
• Liaising with the Commercial & Compliance Team Leader & Yard staff to ensure 100% compliance with the process for dealing with ‘out of specification material’
• Assist with contaminated load reports
• Work closely with the Transport team to ensure outgoing offtakes are sent where they are required with the relevant paperwork and/or access codes
• Ensuring document storage and archiving is 100% compliant
• Provide written reports as required

Required Skills & Experiences:

• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Good attention to detail, able to provide thorough notes and information
• Ability to use Microsoft Outlook (Microsoft Office)
• Any previous experience with AMCS would be great but training will be provided
