Working primarily within a three-hour radius of your home, you will install, service and repair compactors, balers and other specialist equipment, ensuring it remains safe, efficient and available for our customers. Some UK-wide travel will also be required when needed.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Field Service Engineer, you will:

  • Follow customer site rules and maintain high health and safety standards at all times

About You

  • Strong mechanical, electrical and hydraulic fault-finding skills
  • The ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic circuit diagrams
  • Experience using electrical and hydraulic testing equipment
  • Knowledge of single-phase and three-phase electrical systems
  • The ability to carry out minor welding repairs
  • A good understanding of relevant safety standards and safe working practices
  • The confidence to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • A professional approach to customer service and communication
  • The ability to manage priorities and take ownership of problems through to resolution

A City & Guilds qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering, or a similar relevant qualification, would be beneficial.

This Field Service Engineer role would suit an experienced service engineer from an electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, plant or industrial equipment background who enjoys working independently and delivering a reliable service to customers.
