About the Role

Loading Shovel Driver

Working hours: 08:00–17:00

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Loading Shovel Driver to join our team at Honey Pot Lane Composting Site.

The successful candidate will operate a loading shovel safely and efficiently, supporting the movement, loading and processing of composting materials across the site.

Key responsibilities

  • Safely operate a loading shovel within a busy composting environment
  • Load, move and manage composting materials
  • Feed processing and screening equipment when required
  • Load vehicles safely and efficiently
  • Complete daily machinery checks and report any defects
  • Maintain a clean and safe working area
  • Follow all site procedures and health and safety requirements
  • Support the wider site team when required

Requirements

  • Valid loading shovel qualification or competency card
  • Previous experience operating a loading shovel
  • Good awareness of health and safety procedures
  • Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Experience within waste management, recycling or composting would be beneficial but is not essential
