About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Bin Wash Operative to join our Dublin team.

The Bin Wash Operative will follow allocated routes, cleaning customers’ bins safely and efficiently using specialist vehicle-mounted equipment. This is a practical, outdoor role involving regular vehicle and equipment operation, manual work and interaction with customers and members of the public.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Bin Wash Operative, you will:

• Follow allocated routes and complete scheduled bin washes efficiently
• Operate the vehicle, lifting equipment and cleaning equipment safely
• Clean bins thoroughly and return them to the correct location
• Complete daily vehicle and equipment checks
• Report defects, damage or mechanical issues immediately
• Carry out routine equipment maintenance
• Ensure water, cleaning products and other supplies are adequately stocked
• Keep the vehicle, equipment and working area clean and well maintained
• Use water responsibly and minimise unnecessary wastewater discharge
• Handle cleaning products, chemicals and wastewater safely
• Work carefully around pedestrians, cyclists, vehicles and customers’ property
• Complete routes productively without compromising safety or cleaning standards
• Follow company procedures, complete required risk assessments and wear the appropriate PPE

What We’re Looking For

To succeed as a Bin Wash Operative, you will need:

• Previous experience in manual or physically demanding work
• The physical capability to undertake the duties associated with the role
• A good standard of spoken and written English
• A reliable, safety-conscious and practical approach
• The ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Flexibility to work early morning starts
• Confidence working in residential and public areas
• A positive, team-focused attitude
• Willingness to work around water, cleaning products, waste and mud
• Experience operating or maintaining vehicles and equipment would be beneficial

This role would suit someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in doing a job properly and is comfortable working independently while remaining part of a wider depot team.
