About the Role

At Panda, we deliver reliable waste and recycling services across local communities and businesses. Reporting to the Transport Manager, we are seeking a reliable Road Sweeper Driver based out of Bradford (Barnard Road) or Leeds (Cross Green). You will play a key role in maintaining clean, safe environments across our client locations and regional sites.

What We Offer

  • Hourly Rate: £16.50 per hour

  • Hours: 45 hours per week (06:00 – 16:00, Monday to Friday)

  • Overtime: Paid at Time and a Half (1.5x) after 45 hours (covering Yorkshire, including Sheffield)

  • Benefits: Full PPE & uniform provided, company pension, Death in Service benefit (after 6 months), and ongoing CPC/fleet training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate Class 2 road sweeping vehicles across designated routes.

  • Perform pre-use vehicle inspections, complete logbooks, and report defects promptly.

  • Execute sweeping operations to high standards in full compliance with health & safety regulations.

  • Assist wider transport and site operations as needed.

Requirements

  • Valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence, Driver CPC, and Digital Tachograph card.

  • Experience operating road sweepers (highly beneficial; full fleet training provided).

  • Strong understanding of driver compliance, road safety, and daily defect checks.

  • Punctual, reliable, and adaptable to covering regional routes across Yorkshire.
