• Direct the movement of the bin truck, especially in areas with limited visibility or tight spaces.
• Ensure that the surrounding area is clear of pedestrians and obstacles before giving signals to the driver.
• Use standardized hand signals or communication devices to convey instructions to the bin truck driver.
• Maintain clear and concise communication to guide the driver during maneuvers.
• Monitor the area for potential hazards and take corrective actions to prevent accidents.
• Ensure that the bin-truck helper is in a safe position during the loading and unloading process.
• Be prepared to respond to emergency situations, such as vehicle malfunctions or accidents.
• Know the emergency procedures and coordinate with emergency services if needed.
• Keep records of waste collection activities, noting any incidents, accidents, or issues that may arise.
• Provide feedback to the relevant authorities on the overall efficiency and safety of waste collection operations.
