About the Role

Accounts Receivable

At Panda, Ireland’s largest waste management business, we’re looking for an Accounts Receivable team member to support our finance function.

This Accounts Receivable role is ideal for someone who is organised, accurate, confident speaking with customers, and comfortable working with financial information in a busy, deadline-driven environment. You’ll play an important part in maintaining customer accounts, supporting payment collection, resolving queries, and helping the wider finance team keep processes accurate and up to date.

You’ll be part of a supportive team where accuracy, communication and follow-through are key.

What you’ll be doing

  • Maintain allocated customer accounts, ensuring information is accurate and up to date
  • Answer customer queries and work with Admin and Sales teams to resolve issues effectively
  • Contact customers regarding outstanding payments
  • Support timely cash collection and help reduce overdue balances
  • Produce weekly and monthly Accounts Receivable reports
  • Issue monthly customer statements
  • Review and approve new accounts in line with internal processes
  • Request credit reports where required
  • Place customers on credit hold when appropriate
  • Escalate issues to the Credit Control Supervisor where needed
  • Support the wider finance team with any other duties as required

About You

  • Minimum 1 year of previous experience in an Accounts Receivable department
  • Strong analytical ability, gained through work experience, education or both
  • High level of computer literacy, with the ability to produce and work with reports
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work as part of a functional team
  • Flexible, organised and able to manage multiple tasks at once
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-focused environment
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritise effectively
  • Professional telephone manner
  • Positive, team-focused approach
  • Experience working with Workday would be a distinct advantage
