About the Role

Role Overview

This position will provide daily administrative support to the Commercial and Compliance Team Leader across a range of areas and will operate the Weighbridge as and when required ensuring compliance with all inbound and outbound material specification.

The standard working hours are 8am - 5pm (Monday - Friday) however, there will be requirements to work Saturdays and/or Bank Holidays on occasion so flexibility for this is required.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that Reception is always covered
  • Provide a warm, professional front-of-house service including greeting visitors, offering assistance and ensuring that all visitors to site sign in and out
  • All inbound and outbound mail is processed and sent to the relevant persons
  • Offer administration support to the Commercial & Compliance Team Leader
  • Assist staff with PPE & annual leave requests plus other miscellaneous requests
  • Assist in inducting all new staff (including contractors and subcontractors), ensuring RAMS & insurances are in place during inductions
  • Help ensure Health & Safety compliance for all 3rd party visitors to site
  • Operating our Weighbridge using AMCS (training can and will be provided for this)
  • Provide cover to operate the Weighbridge as and when required
  • Communicate effectively with the Yard Operations team using 2-way radio
  • Liaising with the Commercial & Compliance Team Lead & Yard staff to ensure 100% compliance with the process for dealing with ‘out of specification material’
  • Assist with contaminated load reports
  • Work closely with the Transport team to ensure outgoing offtakes are sent where they are required with the relevant paperwork and/or access codes
  • Running Customer reports using both AMCS & Power BI
  • Compliance with all Company Processes & Procedures
  • Daily checks ensuring 100% compliance for incoming Duty of Care, Waste Transfer Notes records and processes
  • Monitor the shared weighbridge email inbox, recording and offering prompt resolution of all customer queries
  • Ensuring document storage and archiving is 100% compliant
  • Provide written reports as required
  • Assist with Certificate of destruction

 

Required Experiences and Skills:

  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to working
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Good team player, willing and able to support colleagues where possible
  • Previous experience with AMCS & Power BI is desirable but training can and will be given for both
  • Previous experience of operating a weighbridge is desirable but training can and will be given
